OUR 3RD VISIT

We had a wonderful visit today. We saw a little bit of his temper today as he was tired and ready for a nap, he might be a lefty because he kept sucking his left thumb. He also had a vaccination today so he was a little bit under the weather, not as active as he has been the last two days. When they came to get him for his dinner on our visit, he didn't want to leave us. He grabbed on to Mitch's shirt and put his arms towards me, he as already become attached to us. Of course I started crying because I don't want to leave him, but I will keep in my mind that 6 weeks can go very fast. We will leave for our flight tomorrow afternoon and wait until we return.

VISIT # 2

Met with Alex again and I must say he was as happy as he was yesterday. We have decided he must just be a very happy person. He pinched his finger in the door and never even cried, just made a little sound. He is very active again, getting into everything and he can pull himself up and tries to walk on his own, we think he will be walking just fine on our next visit. This has really changed how we were expecting him to be when we got him home, all crystal and breakables will have to be put away before he comes home. We have our last visit with him tomorrow before we have to head home on Friday, that will be a very hard day. The place that he is at is about 1 hour away from where we are staying so we visit him from 12-2 and then just go sit in a shopping area for about 3 hrs and then head back for another visit from 5-6 and then get back to our hotel usually about 7:30-8:00 because the traffic is the worst here. This puts NYC to shame, I have never seen this many cars and people before in my life. Will try to report more tomorrow. See ya.

OUR FIRST MEETING

What a beautiful little boy we have met! Alex immediately came to us and was not backward at all. We had about 2 hrs in the afternoon from 12-2 to play with him in a big room by ourselves. He is almost walking by himself and they brought him into the room walking and he came right over and sat down on the floor and started playing. He wanted to just walk around the room and get every toy (including the dolls) off of the shelf and put everything on the floor. After the 2 hrs we had to leave so that he could nap and came back around 5:00pm again to play with him 1 1/2 hrs. They had to wake him from his nap for us and he came out of the room smiling and just hugged us. We can tell already that he is going to be very friendly. We can also tell that he is going to get into a lot of things he just kept wanting to throw his toys on the floor and hit things together and make noise. We will report more back later.

Trip 1 - Travel Update

We were headed to Moscow by way of Chicago and were really doing well until about 20 minutes to land in Moscow and the pilot came on to say that the weather was really bad and we were being diverted to Frankfurt. So here we are sitting in the Sheraton in Frankfurt, Germany and we will head to Moscow now tomorrow - Monday - morning. We tried to get in touch with our coordinator here in Russia to let her know so we are not sure now if we will meet Alex on Monday or have to wait until Tuesday. We will keep you posted.
